My name’s Mark and I’m a 38 yr old fat fella from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England. I live with my fiancée Caroline and our 15yr old stepson Ellis. I have a 15yr old son called Karl who comes and stays with us every other weekend. 
I’ve reached that point in most people life where you think all the drinking and eating rubbish needs to stop. There’s more to life than getting drunk most days and having take aways. So we started the Slimming World diet on the first week of 2008 and decided to get fit too. I’m keeping a record of my progress as more of an incentive for me to carry on if I ever feel like packing it in and having a large vodka and a kebab.
